hey, I am currently a sophomore at an ivy league school(not harvard, created this username a while ago haha) and am interested in transferring to Wharton for the spring semester of my sophomore year or the fall semester of my junior year. I have a 3.9 GPA and I believe I meet all of their course requirements. (Not sure what the 2 stat courses mean, there is only 1 required course at my school). I am also the president of an organization and on the eboard for several other clubs.

A few questions:

How many external transfers does Wharton take each year? Can I apply to transfer mid year? Do I need to go through the same application process as a high school senior?

Thanks for your input!

Transfers only enter in the fall. (As such, coming in as a junior's not really worth it. Sorry.) They take a tiny number of external transfers - you'd effectively need a 4.0. The STAT requirement is one probability course, one statistics course - if your school combined the subject material of the two, you may want to take an advanced stat class.

You and about a million other people, it seems. What MW said. Approximately 25 or so external transfers, depending on how many seats they have available because fresh. aren't coming back (and most come back). Basically it's too late to do this as a junior unless you want to spend an extra year. Even if you want, odds of getting in are very low. Finish your current program, work for a couple of years and go for the MBA at Wharton.
