Transfer to Yale from Berkeley or Duke??

Hi!!

I am a high school senior from Turkey who got accepted to UC Berkeley, Duke, UCLA, Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, and waitlisted from Columbia, Yale and UPenn. Currently I am waiting for my waitlists but I know it is very unlikely. So I am planning to transfer to Yale, MIT or Stanford for my sophomore year.

I was wondering whether from Duke or Berkeley would transfer be easier? I will be an engineering major so Berkeley is better that way, but in my first year I'm not sure if I could be active, even meet my professors, so Duke seems to be a wiser choice for transfer. What do you think? I really need help!!

Thank you :))

Why not just stay at Duke or Berkeley…

Well, an institution such as MIT both has a great engineering program and is private and small. Even though I could change my mind next year, I would still want to apply as a transfer student.

I would say Johns Hopkins

You better have some good reasons for want to transfer, else Yale will look at your application and dismiss it if you state, “Yale has always been my dream school”… They better have something that no other university has to offer, because all of those schools are highly prestigious and respectable. In fact, I know people who turn down Ivies for Duke, Stanford, UChicago.
