I was born in Brazil and I am a freshman at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. In addition, my major is Business Management and I am in a F1-visa. I am interested about TRANSFERING in the fall 2006 season and I would like to know what are the best 50 business colleges in the U.S. and if it is worth to TRANSFER to one of those and pay 40,000$ per year. Fortunately, money is not a problem for me, I can afford to pay the tuition. By the way, here at FDU I have As in all my classes and I also have a scholarship to play soccer, though I am a good player I dont wanna necessarily play in others TOP BUSINESS SCHOOL.

Once more, just to emphasize:
I would be very glad if you can give me a list of the top 50 business school
and also
tell me if it is worth to pay 40,000$ per year to do one of them.

I definitively want to TRANSFER to a great school. But I have some problems. First, I do not know with schools are great that is why I am asking for a list, I am a foreigner. Second, I must be realistic I am Hispanic, from Brazil and here in Fairleigh Dickinson University my GPA is around 4.0, and I am a freshman. I do not know if they will accept me because of my SATs. My problem is the SATs, I did it twice, in the second one I scored: CR 490 MATH 600 WRT 380 and in the first one: 540, 570 and 400. And my other problem is that I am current in FDU, and nobody knows this college.

SO PLEASE COULD ANYONE MAKE ME A LIST OF 50 TOP BUSINESS SCHOOL.

And if someone know with GREAT business school I can to transfer for because of my bad SATs and the bad school I am now in.

THANKS A LOT !!! I NEED ANSWERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

I can make you a very short list but I can't seem to find my USNWR list. Lucky for you, most schools don't care about SAT scores for transfer students and you have a fantastic GPA. Some schools w/ good undergrad business programs:

UC Berkeley
USC
Northwestern
NYU
University of Pennsylvania
UT-Austin
UIndiana-Bloomington
Southern Methodist University
University of Miami
Emory University
Vanderbilt
UMaryland - College Park
Boston College
Boston University
UNC-Chapel Hill
Carnegie Mellon
Babson
Bentley
UVA
Texas A&M University
MIT
WashingtonU in St. Louis

Frankly, I am not sure giving up a full ride is worth transfering. Having a top GPA has greater value for both grad school and for employers than having a great school with a lessor GPA. In addition, there is something to be said for having no debt upon graduation vs. 140K of debt. Think about this before you transfer.

As the old saying goes,"be careful what you wish for...you may get it."

My friend, fortunately money is not a problem for me at all. MAN THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE LIST YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE WITH THAT!!!! IF I TOLD U WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE!!! THANKS SO MUCH
I really appreciate, anything I can help u with... I am a great soccer player and I know everything about it...

not to be a killjoy but if you are only a freshman you haven't gotten any official grades yet. You may have a 4.0 so far, that's great, but you have to get through finals. Plus it's just one semester...schools of this calibre will want to see more semesters of high grades. Often first semester of college can be a review of high school courses if you took honors and AP's.

I think a lot of those schools will be reaches, FDU is a good school but your grades there might not be considered in line with grades from a more selective school, plus transfer schools will want to look at, to some degree, your SAT's, and that is your problem. I admire your enthusiasm but make sure you don't put your expectations too high. Research some possibilities that might be on the lower end of this list selectivity-wise, or a school like Rutgers. And why not continue with the soccer if you can? As you know athletics can make you more organized with you time.

I really love my life here. Everything is great, but the school is not really hard and I want to study in a place where people recognize me as SUPERB. Because I am Superb, but as I am speaking with a lot of people and getting information, it seems like if I get a 4.0 or near heer at FDU people will recognize me as outstanding. Am I right?
Is it really better to go a better school?
What about Wiscosin I heard they accepet easyly tranfers, but I also heard that they are the top 1 in the country when the subject is PARTY. And I dont wanna that. I WANT TO BE RECOGNIZED AS AN OUTSTANDING student. That is why I wanna go to more prestigious schools. Please answer me something
Thanks

Whoever said SATs don't count for transfers is TOTALLY wrong where most schools are concerned. A few large state school systems don't count them but that's about it.

Your only chance at a top undergrad b school is to play soccer for them. Sems like a trade that would be worth it. The best jobs are reserved for grads of top b schools. Kids at lower schools don't have a chance at many, many jobs. So use what you have, and if it's scoccer instead of high SATs, so be it!!

Suze, I can't say that you are right or wrong, but maybe my situation will be illustrative.

I graduated from Baruch College of the City University of NY. It was always a good school, but I wouldn't call it a top school. I did have just under a 3.7 GPA overall and even higher in my major. I am stating that because I had no trouble getting any job or any job interview that I wanted. In fact, as I recollect, I never was turned down for an interview.

guys i did my list with a the best business college. I know I have no chance to get in in some of them ( about 10). But what are your opinion??which one I should try harder?? is there anyone that is not that good school. Because I am happy here at FDU, but academiccaly the school does not challenge me enough. And I want to go to a top school.
Here it goes my list:
