Last fall, I transferred to a top 20 institution as a sophomore, majoring in mathematics. After a semester spent at my current university, I found out that I really want to double major in computer science and mathematics, however, the university does not support the combination. In addition, I found out that I don’t really like the school atmosphere, location and etc. So I am thinking of transferring again. I personally could afford the hustle of transferring twice, but I would just like to ask if this would bring any negative effect in grad school admission or getting jobs, etc? Thank you very much!
Transferring twice for academic reasons is reasonable. If you have good options, go ahead and apply.
If you have a strong academic reason, it will not hamper your graduate applications. However, what field are you interested in for graduate school? If it is mathematics, then why do you need a second major in CS? If it is CS, does your current school have CS at all and if so, why not just go for the straight CS major with as many mathematics electives as possible?
