OK So i want to know if i should even apply to UCONN nursing program as a transfer, and if there is any way that i am going to get in. I come from a very small private school in New York that has a well known nursing program. I have done ok in the classes that i have taken. A in a and p, A in Chem, A in sociology, B+ in Health assessment, B in fundamentals of nursing. etc... My total GPA is about 3.4-3.4 ish range. My science classes though are probably close to or about 3.8 GPA range; however the college i am at right now is not right for me and i wish to transfer. I got in to UCONN before (deferred then got in) (not into the nursing program) when i applied (3.3 high school GPA, 24 ACT scores). What i want to know now is should i apply again for the nursing program. I herd they take like 50 of the 300 people that apply and i don't think my grades are good enough for that. However i am in a nursing program now, so does that increase my chances of getting in at all.... also I would be applying instate, because my family lives there.
