Transfer, UNC vs UVA, stat/math major

Hey, everyone. I am an international student and have been accepted by both of them as a junior transfer. I will be a stat/math major.

To me in general UVA sounds more prestigious than UNC, not sure for my major, but UVA will cost me $10K more than UNC every year.

My parent told me money is not a problem because I can earn it back if I get a decent job after graduate. To me it looks like UVA graduate e will find a job easier than UNC graduate because UVA is closed to D.C (correct me if I am wrong), and getting a decent job is the most important reason why I transfer to these two schools.
Please help me to decide one. Any information will be appreciated.

The area directly around UNC (the RTP) is far more developed than Charlottesville, but UVA is closer to DC. Grads from either school could probably work in either place.

The two have similar reputations for math.

You can’t go wrong either way. I would choose the cheaper option, being UNC in your case.

uva is ever so slightly more prestigious, but its not enough to make the difference between if an employer will higher you or not. unless you think uva is a much better fit for you than unc for reasons outside what uve mentioned so far, id save the $40,000 and go to unc. congrats on getting in to two great schools btw.

Thanks! any more information and suggestion?
