Transfer units and GPA

What does it mean when you say your GPA is unweighted and weighted? How do UC calculate your GPA when you apply because they do not take all the classes you have completed. Do they only count the transferable courses?

I don't think college credits can be weighted, but correct me if I'm wrong. In HS it's for AP/IB/honors, which obviously doesn't apply to college (except honors, but I think that shows up elsewhere on your transcript/application). As for UC GPA, have you checked their website? I'm pretty sure I remember them having an explanation.

If there were information on it in their website, I couldn't find it. Where would it be?

try searching for it or looking under the section "transfer admissions"...it may help.

I don't know, I haven't looked at the website in over a year. Hopefully someone else can help you more. Maybe on the UC subforum? Have you checked their FAQs?

when UC advisors have come to our school they claim they will "cross out" any non-transferrable classes/classes you repeated/withdraws from your transcript, and calculate your gpa from there.
