Hey guys. I got accepted into UT Austin as a transfer student Biochem major. The thing is, I applied for on campus housing in February. I have to accept or decline, but they won’t send out housing contracts on what’s left until after I make my admission decision. It’s not a guarantee that I will actually get on campus housing, even though I paid 50 dollars to apply. Anyways, can I accept my offer for now, and then see if I get a housing contract? And if I don’t, then can I decline my admissions offer after I’ve already officially accepted the admissions offer? Please give me some advice. It is stressing me out honestly. Thanks!
Call admissions for some peace of mind but I am pretty sure that you won’t be effected negatively if you simply do not register or decline your admission offer before you register for classes.
You probably won’t get your registration fees back though.
Call housing. They will be honest with you on your chances to get on campus. Last year when my transfer daughter was accepted, I called them. They told me the first transfer student was in line behind 100s of freshmen who were not likely to get housing.
