I have a 3.27 gpa with 14 credits as a freshman at Lehigh. My high school stats were pretty good, 1380, top 7% of class, all honors classes. I was wondering what my chances of transferring for fall of '06 would be to schools like BU and Northeastern. I will be attending Monmouth U this spring since I couldn't stand Lehigh any longer. My grades will most likely be straight A's at Monmouth. I am looking for city schools with decent business schools to apply to. I really like the city of Boston as of now. It would be great if you guys could give me some insight about my chances to transfer to places like BU or NEU as a soph. I would also gladly accept other schools to look into. Thanks

Transferring to places like BU or Northeastern seem like a drop of a student of your caliber. Your academic credentials would make you a good candidate for elite schools such as Tufts or BC in the Boston area.

well the thing is, I had to work my ass off for these grades and I wouldn't mind taking it a little bit easier for hte next few years. Plus, I haven't really found any other schools on Lehigh's level that I would want to attend. BC is probably very much like Lehigh in terms of atmosphere and rigor. Tuftis not in Boston and I have read many horrible things about it. Basically, I am looking for a decent school in a city. I do not want too much of a dropoff from Lehigh, but I wouldn't mind lightening up the workload at a place like Northeastern which I feel would allow me to enjoy college more while still getting better grades than I would at Lehigh.

Northeastern is awesome, and on the rise. I really loved it of all the Boston schools, I've visited twice. I think it has everything you are looking for plus the co-op program. Northeastern is right in Boston and for your major what could be better for co-op opportunities than that. One of my good friends is a business major there and is loving it. He finds the business students driven, intense, excited about living and working in the city and yet able to have fun. He also has the sweetest on campus housing you've ever seen.
