Transfer with 4.0

Does anyone know of anyone who got rejected to any UC school with a 4.0? What about USC?

Also, what are the chances (saying one has a decent essay) that a student with a 4.0 will receive the UC Regents Scholarship or a large merit-based scholarship at USC?

It's not a good idea to ask "if anyone knows of anyone." You're inviting hearsay. And since you only say "4.0" I am sure that many have been rejected who had 4.0s--especially those who didn't complete general ed, had less than 60 units, etc.

I was actually interested in hearsay. That is why I asked. However, I would be more interested in hearsay involving people who completed all requirements and had at least 60 units. Obviously being rejected with a 4.0 is an unlikely situation, but I thought maybe some on this board would have insight or facts or stories or complete fiction to share with me regarding this topic. You already have by bringing it to my attention that some applicants may have a 4.0 and/or less than 60 units, incomplete general ed, etc. My second question was actually more important, and I've posted on it before. Does anyone have any information other than the websites about these scholarships (how many available, how selective if requirements are met, etc.). Thanks

Yeah, the scholarship thing is a good question. Lets just keep in mind that anything about the "4.0 rejects" most likely won't include looking at the actual files.

Maybe if you join the Lincoln Club you will find out all the answers.

The Lincoln Club has ALL the answers.

I know a dishonest applicant who had a 4.0GPA. She got rejected. Be honest on all your applications!

What was she dishonest about?

I would like to know as well....haha

ISNT EVERYHTING ON THIS BOARD HEARSAY? do you really ever actually help people gabe??? Ive looked at your posts and it doesnt look like it to me.
