I know that there is a post below about this, but I am trying to transfer into Tulane right now from another University. I was accepted in my senior year of high school but was accepted to my early decision school and thus did not go. I now want to transfer out of my school (who would have thought) and transfer to Tulane. Has transferring really become that hard to do?

I think so. As you probably know, 1630 students did decide to come to Tulane, a very large class for them. That is going to make it tougher, I would think, but I am sure not impossible. Have you done well at this school?

I have done well at school averaging a B. However, I was pledging and plan to get my grades way up this next semester. I knowing pledging doesn’t mean your grades can be lower, but that is what happened.
In high school I had solid grades too averaging about a 3.65-3.7. With solid board scores.

Yeah, work really hard on your grades this semester. B average might not cut it this year. But a really good semester this time will help, I would think. Good luck!

Thank you. Just out of curiosity, do you now how heavily first semester GPA is looked at and used? By the way, I am also a second semester freshman.
I am involved in many areas within my current university as well as in high school I feel that that shows. However, I was just wondering if you have any insight into that.

That is a little more detailed than I have a feel for. Sorry.
