Hey, i’m a college freshman at a four-year liberal arts school looking to apply to transfer for Fall 06.

From Northern NJ; white, middle-class, male.

H.S.

GPA: 3.1 (9th-11th) 3.6(12th)

SATS: 1090 :-(

ECs/achieved: volunteer work @ soup kitchens/church, black belt in karate (done for 8 years); honor roll 12th grade

College
major: Political Science

GPA: 3.7/8 (estimate, semester not over yet)

ECs: Pre-law society, against drunk driving club, likely dean’s list/national honor society

Two great recommendations (1 from NYU alumni, if that has any impact)

schools i’m applying to:

NYU CAS, BC, BU, The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), Colgate, Temple, Fordham. possibly ucla/uva (doubtful). Maybe one or two more–let me know with suggestions.

Also, one question: Does asking for financial aid have any impact on transfer admissions?

Any suggestions/comments whatsoever would be nice, thanks.
