I'm currently a freshman at BU. I was rejected by Columbia ED last year. I like it here but I really want to major in Creative Writing. Also I really want to live in NYC and be around intelligent people, most of the BU people just kind of irk me. So that's why I'm looking into transferring.

2090 SAT last time I took it
32 ACT
I'm working hard, shooting for straight A's. So far I'm on track for that.
Current classes:

EN 304 Poetry workshop
LS 211 3rd Sem Spanish

Sem 2 classes
EN 220 Seminar in Lit
Some natural science with a lab
HU 221 Major Authors I
LS 212 4th Sem Spanish

Chances? Should I retake the SAT or ACT?

Should I stick it out at BU?

Hey, me too on the ED thing! Are we crazy for still being obsessed with this school? I hope not. But anyway, I don’t think you should stick it out at BU if you’re unhappy there. The SAT score is admittedly very “meh” but the ACT is fine. What was the breakdown on the SAT? You should only really retake it if one section was particularly bad or something (my situation, ugh). Since I go to NYU I can attest to the fact that it’s definitely worth an app just for that reason; this city is literally magic. Anyway, here’s a thread if you want to talk to the rest of us who are still in love with this school:

and as to your chances, I think they’re pretty decent if you do manage the 4.0 thing.

My breakdown was 750 Reading 740 Writing 600 Math…so yeah…math.

Lol, we are literally in the exact same boat except mine is even more unbalanced…2160 with 580 math, so yeah, ouch. Guess we know why they rejected us!
