Hi everyone! I'd really appreciate it if you could take a moment to read through this:

I've wanted to go to Vandy all my life, but unfortunately, I messed up a little in high school and my GPA was very low compared with everyone else, so, I of course got denied. My SAT is a 2100 (680 CR, 720 M, 700 W). I was just wondering about transferring into Vandy. My options right now are University of Miami, Northeastern University, and Boston University (I'm leaning towards Miami because of a much higher scholarship grant than the other 2). Which school would you guys recommend I attend to help my chances the most with transferring (I don't like any school more than the others, they're all about equal for me)? I'm gonna try my hardest to get the highest GPA I can in college and join a couple of extracurricular activities, such as theater or a cappella. Should I apply to transfer after my first semester of college during my first year or after my first semester of college during my second year? I would really appreciate any and all of your inputs on my dilemma.

It does not matter much. They are universities of similar repute so anyone should be fine. I would advise you to transfer after 1 year.

I agree… I think if you succeed in your first year at any of those universities, you would be a great transfer candidate. And definitely transfer after your freshman year… Not your second. Since you have been accepted to NEU could you chance me? Please? Please note that I’m currently working with an SAT Tutor in order to get my scores up. Thank you!

This question referring to both of you: by saying transfer after your freshmen year, do you mean apply to transfer during my freshmen year to start a new school my sophomore year, or apply to transfer after my freshmen year and during my sophomore year to start a new school during my junior year? And yea, sure, ill chance you

It shouldn’t make much of a difference with a couple of months. If you want to go to your new school early, then apply earlier. Just make sure your statistics are good. If your GPA is a bit low, then apply some time later.
