Transfer

Is it better to transfer for spring or fall semester of next year if you excelled in high school as well as college? Is it less competitive to get in?

Well, first of all, I think it depends on what year you are in school currently. I'm sure you know that if you are a freshman, your HS grades will carry more weight in the decision than if you are a sophomore. As well, keep in mind that if you apply for fall, you're on campus early with both freshmen and transfer students, which I think makes it a lot easier to meet people. If you apply for the spring, then it's just you and the other spring transfers. I haven't seen any data that separates out acceptances for fall or spring, this may be something that you have to call the admissions office about. I transferred to WUSTL this fall and I thought the orientation was excellent and so far I am very happy here.

I think that fall semester is better, but you can do either.

I'd go with fall as well!
