I was hoping someone could tell me what areas I need to/could work on, and perhaps give me some idea of my competitiveness for admission! Thanks!

You can't 'transfer' to USAFA. Everyone goes for 4 years. You will be better off trying to apply to North Dakota's members o congress instead of Tennessee's. I'm not sure how they determine what state you are eligible to apply to, so hopefully someone else can comment on that.

AS long as you havn't turned 24 by basic you are eligible to apply. Since it seems that your are a strong tennis player, i would recommend getting ahold of the tennis coach. if you can get them to want you as an IC (inter collegiate), then that helps a lot with the process

I don't know much about college applicants, but your stats look good to me.

You can't have turned 23 by entrance, eagle, not 24.

sry bout that. thanks for the correction.

Thanks for all the responses! I'll be 20 upon entrance, so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, since I vote in ND and my permanant residence is there, I would assume I would go through ND's representatives.

I "transferred" from college (RPI) as well. From what I understand, admissions looks very highly upon people who have had a year of college experience, especially if they can maintain a 3.5+ GPA. Your stats look real good, I see no reason why you wouldn't have a great shot at getting in. If you have any questions about the whole application process as it is slightly different than for high schoolers, don't hesitate to ask.

That's good to hear. I posted a similar question in another thread. I should have looked here first. I'm thinking of applying to USAFA again after a year of college. I hope I won't be too much older than the rest.

No, you won't. I have a 4 degree prior enlisted in my squad, and he is older than a good portion of the firsties! (He's 22). You'll find a lot of prep schoolers(usually 3-4 per squad) are your age, a smaller, but still decent (usually 1-2 per squad), number of kids who attended "normal" college, and then a number of prior enlisteds (again, usually 1-2 per squad). Ansd even though you may be a year older than a lot of your classmates, you don't notice. I know I don't.
