I went into the application checklist and this message appeared:

Colgate's Office of Admission has appreciated the contact we have had with you through your transfer application process. We understand that you are eager to learn the outcome of your application, and we do plan to have all transfer decisions mailed no later than April 19. Please note we do not give out decisions over the phone. You should expect to receive your decision within a reasonable amount of postal delivery time after April 19. We thank you again for your interest in Colgate and give you our best wishes for your college career.

This means that the decisions are on their way. Any of you already recieved yours?

Im in PA and I it still hasn't arrived. For the ones that already got it....is the acceptance envelope regular size or is it a big one?

Well, that is a long story. To summarize it.

I am international student from Peru, right now in Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA.

Last year when applying to US universities I was very badly adviced and ended up only applying to Ivies without actually having totally impressive stats....I got waitlisted on a couple and rejected in a couple more. I ended up being rejected by the 4 of them.

I didn't want to stay in Peru and study there for a year, I had some personal reasons that heavily encouraged me to leave. I applied to this school with rolling admissions, they gave me a lot of financial aid and I saw it as a good opportunity. Actually I think that this school isn't that bad now that I have been here for almost a year . However, I am looking for more diversity in the student body and actually take more challenging classes as in my first term as a freshman I was already taking the 400 level classes in here. My stats have improved enormously and I think that the rejections and this year of transition made me grow and mature a lot.

So that's the story if by any chance you were wondering...haha...and if not sorry for boring you :P

Actually, I'm a transfer student already at Colgate :) :) :) You'll see there are few others around these boards too!

The letter's definitely on the way- got mine around April 16th two years ago (WHOA!!!). It's a big envelope- you'll smile right away when you see it :)
