So I'm considering transferring to A&M for this coming fall semester. I know that it's rather late in the game to start the application process, but I just don't think that I could enjoy myself for 3 more years at my current university.

I was already accepted to A&M when I applied in high school, but I turned it down. Do you think that will affect my acceptance as a transfer student at all? The only way I could see it having an impact is in a negative way, since it conveys the idea that I don't want to go there.

My GPA for my first semester was a 3.1, so I know that's a little low. Currently though, my grades for this semester are looking substantially higher. My only extra curriculars are marching band and two other music ensembles.

So do you think I've got a shot? I'm certain that I could write an adequate essay.

Also, one last question. Does anyone know how acceptance into the business school works? I probably won't get into Mays right off the bat, so are there chances to apply for admission later, such as after my sophomore year? Thanks.
