i just wrapped up my freshman year at SUNY geneseo, but I don't think it's really working for me, so i'm thinking about applying to smith. my sister graduated last year, so i've been around the campus, and i think it might be the place for me. could someone chance me please?
I had about a 3.4 GPA in high school, 4.07 weighted, i got an IB diploma, and was an A scholar. I played varsity soccer for four years, club rugby for three, I started a book club, and was involved in habitat for humanity, my school's branch of amnesty international, and I worked on student conservation crews the summers after my junior and senior years. I have a 3.62 at geneseo, and I just was accepted into the honors program. I've been playing on the rugby team for the past two semesters, as well as volunteering at the campus school, and at a sort of comfort care/hospice in town. I'm sort of involved in the outing club, but not very, and i'm studying abroad in amsterdam this summer. how does it look? (i'm a psych major btw)

I think you've got a pretty good shot, though these things are tricky to judge unless someone is ridiculously over qualified or under qualified. You should apply though, transfers are some of the best folks!

I'm a transfer student too! My statistics weren't the best but I really showed Smith how passionate I was about attending the school.

I say that you should apply. Your stats look better than mine, in my opinion, and it never hurts to try. Anything can happen, you know? Demonstrate why you want to attend Smith and what you would bring to the table.

Good luck!
