I posted here once [before on a similar topic.

Just to sum things up: I had a 3.39 at a prestigious high school in NYC and got 720 verbal 710 writing 640 math on my SATs. I never really worked hard in high school. Took a year off after high school studied abroad and really got my act together.

Now after one full year at the University of Maryland I have a 4.0 GPA (including 5 A+'s... I don't think I got 5 A+'s in 4 years of high school!). I am active in the robotics club and I was accepted into a entrepreneurial program called Hinman CEOs](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/417191-transfer.html#post4905385), as well as the Computer Science Departmental Honors Program. I am also going to be applying to the general University honors program, (I've already taken 2 honors classes that I was invited to join).

I'm not unhappy at Maryland, but I was wondering what my options could be.
I've dreamed of applying to Stanford, but it certainly would be difficult to transfer with last year's acceptance rate of 1.5%.

I was wondering what my chances might be applying to "top" (ranked) schools with good CS programs?
