transfer

Hi. I am going to be transferring to Cornell this coming fall. As a result, I have come across a few questions to ask. First, do I need to tell my old college that I will be transferring out or can i just go on with cornell? Second, how do you sign up for housing? I tried to log on to that housing website with my net id, but it doesn't work (it wouldn't let me log in). Third, how do i get to ithaca? I am from Midwest and would probably need to fly. what air route/ air ports/ buses, etc do you suggest I take to get there (from chicago)? Also, do i need to bring stuffs like tv cuz it's hard to carry it around... and lastly, how's the food on West campus? is it really that deserving of the Cornell's fine dining rep or is it worse than food at north? Thanks.

Yes, you need to notify your current college so that you may properly withdraw. Otherwise, you will be billed for the next academic year. If you have loans you must complete an exit interview.

A lot of people are having trouble with the housing site. Call the housing office.

My friend from Chicago flew into Syracuse. There is a limo service that will take your from the airport to Ithaca.

You don't need to bring a TV. There are TVs in the lounge. This is also something you could work out with your roommate.

Food is delicious. I think North has better selection, but the quality is not different.
