transfer?

have a daughter who is at a school in SC, will not name. It is a fine school, but after a great start, has not been a hit with her and she is asking to transfer. A few questions:

should i push back or just help her transfer out?
she has the grades to transfer, should be carrying at least a 3.7 at end of yr. got 3.9 in 1st semester.
if you transfer, does a school give you merit money, or is that all gone?
had a 3.7 and 1250 coming out of HS

if she does transfer, wants a school that a little bit more fun, perhaps more of a college town with a little more action on and off campus in SC, NC, VA?

any help would be appreciated.

“if you transfer, does a school give you merit money, or is that all gone”
Merit money is rarer than hen’s teeth for transfer students.

I suggest you go to the Transfer Students forum: read the sticky thread “Transfer Admissions 101”, do some Searches and start a thread there with some of your questions.

Agree with both of the above. I think all three of us are “transfer parents.”
