How hard is it to transfer from an out-of-state community college? How many transfer credits are required 30 or 60? UM requires a high school transcript and SAT scores, but are those important factors for admission? Can you transfer for spring semester?

I'm wondering if I should apply with a 4.0GPA in college, 3.0ish in high school, very few ECs, and bad SAT scores.

There is no requirement, but the more college classes you have under your belt the less your high school record and test scores matter, if that is beneficial to you that is worth noting. The maximum number of credits you can transfer is 60, but that might just be for the LSA, I am not sure. It will day on the website. I don’t know what the admissions rate is for out of state community colleges, but I transferred from an in-state CC with worse stats than you and got in. Decent test scores, 2.8 high school, 3.5 college, and a couple clubs but no strong leadership. It is definitely harder to get in from out of state in any situation but if you really want to go to Michigan I would apply whatever the odds, the app doesn’t take too long to do. You don’t want to look back and wonder if you could have gotten in had you applied.
