I am considering transferring either for next fall or spring semester. I am currently attending Georgia Tech. I have done well here but it is not the school for me. I am thinking about applying to a smaller university perhaps in California. (I am not set on a smaller university but based on my experience here I might want a smaller environment). I am more of a math person than anything else. I am still undecided on what i want my major to be (currently I am an Industrial Engineer), I was thinking Business or something along those lines. I want a school with a good reputation as well because in the end I do want to get a good job. Any suggestions on colleges in California, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How about Santa Clara?

How much can you afford to spend? Transfer students don’t usually get very good aid packages.

Have you looked at Rice? Even though we are in Texas, we have a similar laid back atmosphere as many of the California schools. Good weather, great quality of life, and excellent academics. Rice doesn’t offer an undergrad business degree, but Rice does offer a business minor. Engineering school here is top-notch as well. Professors give a lot of work, but I’m assuming you are used to that because you attend Georgia Tech.

I realize that if i do attend a private school than it will be more expensive but I can afford to do that.
I dont know much about Santa Clara but will look into it

and Rice does sound really nice, I will now consider that thanks!
