Hi,
I know you guys hear a lot of this and probably don't want to anymore, but if you could help me that would be great.
I was wondering if you think it would be possible to transfer to Yale next year? I am a freshman at American University in Washington, DC. I am in the University Honors Program and plan to join other activities. I hope to have a very high GPA, around a 3.9. I went to a small public high school in upstate NY, where I graduated ninth in my class with a 3.7 GPA. I was involved in Key Club, National Honor Society, Concert Band, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Chorus. I think that Yale would be a good place for me to really find what I am looking for in my education. Also, it is closer to my home. Let me know if you need any more information to base the decision on.
Thank you,
Ashley

We'll need to know (both from HS and college) class rank, test scores, leadership, the difficulty of your classes, any awards and honors you've won, your major or prospective major, any hooks you might have, etc.

Okay,
I was ninth out of 130 in my HS. I took every AP my school offered, so I tried to take the most challenging courses. I had a 1320 on my SATs (620 math, 700 verbal) and a 32 on my ACT. I was section leader in band, other than that I didn't really try to be in a leadership position in high school. I don't really have any info on college because classes just started 2 weeks ago. I plan to major in CLEG, which is Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government. I am the first person in my family to go to college, if that helps.
Thanks,
