I’m currently attending my local community college and am looking to transfer in fall of 2019. The reason I am worried about transferring now is that I’m confused as to how transferable classes and GPA work.
You see I am taking my GE classes as well as earning my Associates degree. So I have both transferable and non-transferable classes on my transcript. All of my high-level classes have either A’s or B’s as their final grade, but I have some non-transferable classes that I kinda sucked at and made my GPA drop. I’m also really bad at math so I have multiple D’s and have had to retake them, which doesn’t help my GPA either.
When I apply to colleges, do they look at my total GPA from all of my semesters here or do they only look at the GPA from transfer classes? I Hope to transfer to UC Davis and I know you need a minimum of a 2.4 GPA so I’m kinda nervous.
