Transferable Classes (International transcript)

Does anyone know how much UCs accept, as far as transferable classes, from international universities? I know it all depends on if the classes are good matches as far as objectives go but, I was trying to have a better idea of where I stand. I have over 100 semester units completed at a 4 year institution, including upper and lower division classes. I have applied to UCI only because it was the only uc without a unit cap. I have friends who attended UCLA and said they had classmates in the same situation, and That they hardly accepted ANY of the units taken abroad. Does anyone know if this is true?
When filling the application I noted that about 5 classes had the exact same names, but I am not sure if the classes descriptions would match.
Also, has anyone heard of someone that transferred and was accepted as a senior?
I know this is a really long and confusing post but I would appreciate any input you guys have to offer.
Thanks!

I’m still waiting to hear from other UC’s but so far have been admitted to Santa Cruz. I had roughly 45 units from a university overseas and had those been combined with the 60 units I have taken at a CC, I would’ve been over the limit. Here’s what they had to say on their site…

“UC Santa Cruz does not accept students who have completed 90 UC-transferable semester units (135 quarter units) or more from a combination of two-year and four-year institutions (senior standing). If you have earned all of your credits from community college, you are not affected by this limit, because UC grants a maximum of 70 semester (105 quarter) units in transfer from community college.”

I know they don’t usually take people in who transfer as seniors because you’re required to be there for a number of semesters after transfer…

Thank you for your answer. It is safe to say then they accepted something in between 0 and 30 units from the college you attended abroad. I wonder how many though, but I guess you will only know once the fall quarter starts. I am a little worried simply because I did not take only lower division classes, I took a bunch of upper division classes as well. On UCI’s website it says that They don’t have a max amount of units a student can take prior to transfer, as long as you complete the last 36 units at UCI. That is why I wonder if someone could get accepted as a senior transfer.
