transferable non articulated vs transferable articulated course

Has any one taken a course that was transferable but not articulated at one CC, but took the same course at a different CC and was articulated?

The reason i'm asking is because i'm curious to know how the admissions will factor this in into my GPA, or if anyone has been in a similar situation

I've talked to a drop in councilor at Berkeley and she claimed that since that i already took the class once, they would waive my 2nd attempt as a duplicate.(she was a L&S adviser, so i dont really trust her word)

But that doesn't really make sense since the 2nd attempt was articulated, it would clear my major requirement at Cal(EECS), other wise i would have to take that same class again at Cal if i were to be accepted for 2013 Fall!

Shed some light for a upcoming transfer?

No, if it is not UC-transferable for that CC then it will not count. If you go to another CC and take the same class and it is transferable, that course will be counted.

I think you misread my post, both are transferable except one is articulated while the other is not

If another UC will take it and it is articulated, you could always challenge (petition) the course at Berkeley. They may or may not accept it at that point, but its a thought.

Interesting situation and odd answer. Check with all of the UCs you plan to apply to and see if they have a different policy. Also, ask them directly if it will be factored into your units and pre-reqs (if it is one).

thanks guys, ill post an update when i talk to the engineering department on wednesday
