<p>So, I'm looking at going to my safety, PSU, because I haven't gotten in to my top schools but, because it is so large and, after spending a couple of summers up in Happy Valley, I know I am already thinking (yes without having even entered my freshman year yet) about transferring to my first choice UVA.</p>
<p>How big of a social difference is it being a transfer and how does it change your experience at the schools. Any advice from transfers, good or bad would help. Thanks!</p>
<p>You haven’t even entered your freshman year yet? I would suggest giving PSU a chance before jumping to conclusions. I went to my first choice school and now im going to transfer to my second choice school. Give PSU atleast a semester before even thinking about transferring.</p>
<p>No I haven’t but, I will definitely give PSU a chance but I also am the type that is gung ho about what I want. And right now, I want UVA, and I am already trying to think what I would need to do at PSU if I ended up definitely wanting to transfer, and if transferring would screw me royally then I don’t want to even think about it as an option.</p>
