Transfering between colleges

<p>I was recently accepted into CAS, and I chose that school mainly because I was not sure on what I wanted to do (since it has the broadest range of courses). However, my parents want me to "try" doing a business course and transfer to Stern next year, and I was wondering if this was difficult to do.</p>

<p>Also, would I have to start "fresh" at Stern if I transfer from CAS?</p>

<p>Internal transfers to Stern vary in number and difficulty every year. But in the last five years or so, it's been as low as 7%, so the chances of getting in that way are far lower than freshman admission. This is why NYU recommends that you apply to the school which most interests you right from the start.</p>
