not sure why nobody ask this but i have a question for transfering. this is the only college forum i know so it will be awesome if u guys can answer it for me.
i was wondering if i can transfer from one college to another. I wasn't able to get into the top school of my choice and i attend CUNY instead but I really want to go there. So if i was able to do well in the first year in college would i be able to transfer there?
What factors do the college consider when they take in transfers? Will they be less willing to accept a good grade from a CUNY because it is not really rank as high?
Any information will be appreciated. thanks

It is often difficult to transfer up as a soph because when you apply you will only have completed 1 semester of college, so your HS record and test scores will be given more weight.

There are several factors that affect how colleges evaluate your academic achievements, including, gpa, rigor of coursework and the school you attend.
