Hi College Confidential,
I am a potential transfer student looking to boost my chances of getting into a better school.
For the sake of discussion, let’s just say these things:
- I am looking to take non-matriculated courses.
- Those courses won’t be at my old college.
- Those courses won’t be at my potential transfer college, either.
- My grades in those courses will be better than my overall GPA
My question, then, is what will a potential transfer school think of the non-matriculated courses? Will it affect their admissions decision? Is there any chance of transferring non-matriculated credit from one school to a degree at a different school?
Basically, for students who have already taken some college, but will not complete their degree there, is it worth it to take some courses at another school (which is neither the original school nor the transfer school) to boost their admissions chances?
This was posted by someone else and i am in the same situation in need of assistance. Thank You so much!!
