Transfering for Spring 08....what are my chances?

A year ago i was planning to transfer to McCombs, but up until now i still haven't taken calculus, so i decided to forget about transfering to McCombs and just go to texas tech.

However now that i have witnessed others with lower GPAs than mine (i have a 3.6) being accepted into the college of liberal arts, i'm starting to regret that i didn't apply. Also now i have finally built up the courage to decide that i really don't wanna major in business management, and instead wanna major in political science (i have a passion for politics!). So now i'm thinking of taking a shot at applying to UT's liberal arts program for the spring 08, with government as my 1st choice, and sociology as my 2nd choice, and would like to know from you guys "DO I STAND A CHANCE??".......

My stats:
GPA(cumulative): 3.6
community service (about to do plenty this summer)
volunteer tutor
letter of recommendation from a professor (do i need more....?)
hopefully join an organization in the fall

oh and i have 51 hrs of credits.

I think you'll definitely get in, but make sure you have some strong essays. I got in with a 3.3 BTW.

oh really....what college did you transfer into? Liberal arts? McComb? did you did you have more than one letter of recommendation?

I transferred into Natural sciences pre-computer science. Initially I wanted to transfer to McCombs, but i didn't have the classes. I switched to Liberal Arts Economics after I got accepted. Personally I think it will be easier to transfer over to McCombs from Economics. Letter of recommendation? thats optional. Ontheotherhand, your resume is essential.

thanks for the repsonse Crew! if anyone has any more i'd much appreciate it!
