Transfering from 4 year uni -> CCC-> to LMU?

Im currently a sophomore at an out of state uni. I plan on transferring to LMU but if i dont get accepted, can i enroll at a CCC for junior year, and then go to LMU as a senior?

The LMU site says they accept anyone that has 90 credits or less. But will they look down on me because i transferred from a 4 year uni to a community college?

I want to go to Cali because i have family that i want live closer to.

Not sure how they would perceive it, but you could always address the reasons for the move in one of your essays. I would suggest reaching out to their admissions department or reading their website carefully to be sure, but universities often have a minimum amount of credits that you must receive at their institution in order to receive a degree from them so transferring as a senior probably isn’t ideal, or may not be allowed.

And good luck! I’m applying to LMU as well, for spring 2014 transfer.

It’s not only the number of units that determine your class standing. You can take 100 units at a CC, and still only be able to transfer as a junior. In CC you can only take lower division courses. A 4-yr school will still require you to complete around 60 upper division units.
