transfering from community college to cal poly slo?

I'm currently at a community college, and would like to transfer to cal poly slo in the fall of '12 and major in wine and viticulture with an emphasis on enology. I have a 3.5 right now, and am wondering if anyone has any knowledge that can let me know what my odds would be of getting in with those stats? I am also planning on taking a required course at cal poly this summer before I will be applying there in the fall, think that helps my chances at all?

I currently go to a community college and was just accepted to cal poly for the fall 11’ quarter with a 3.8 to the math and science department (my major is kinesiology). Because your major has lower enrollment and competitiveness, i would say you have a good chance at being accepted. Make sure to keep your gpa from dropping any lower though, the average gpa for a transfer to cal poly is a 3.3. And of course look at the university website and make sure you have as many as your major’s required courses as possible. Good luck!
