i need some advice on transferring from university of oregon to either UCI, UCSB, and UCSD. i made a mistake by going to Oregon and i want to know what i can do to make this happen. please reply to this i really need someone advice and help.

Well I still think U of O is a better school than UCSD and UCI. Plus as boring as Eugene can be it is still a cooler place to live and go to school than La Jolla or Irvine. UC’s are too impacted and not in the formal business of accepting transferring freshman or sophomores only juniors.

do you think its possible in one year? l like im from irvine so i guess i wanted to be in califronia. What is the best way to do this? drop out of UO then go to community college?

If you are not digging Eugene or U of O then yes that is your best bet. You would save money and have more time and opportunity to create a competitive and more complete lower division transcript. You would be delaying the college experience for 2 more years but would be in a better position to apply to say UCSB or UCLA unless keen on going to UCI or UCSD. OCC ranks in top #5-10 CCC’s for CSU and UC transfers due to course selection preparation and proximity to surrounding schools.
Realize even CCC’s are impacted so even completing in 2 years is pushing it. If you don’t care for Eugene but like Oregon and want to live in a more urban area, then you may want to check out PCC in Tigard or Mt. Hood CC in Gresham and see if they have what you need at the Maywood Park Campus.

what about non UC school but california school like cal states? if i drop out this year can i go to community college this year like irvine valley college?

You are less likely to be accepted by a UC as a transfer student from a California State University (CSU) than if you applied to transfer directly from the University of Oregon to a UC. Highest priority goes to students who did at least two years at a CCC, then transfers from other UCs, transfers from OOS universities with CSUs at the bottom. The UCs accept very few transfers as Sophomores from anywhere, you will have to do two years at a CCC in addition to your studies at Oregon for the best chance or stay at the UO for two years and apply as a junior but will have priority only over CSU transfer applicants.

but is it possible to transfer in one year cus UO is expensive and i reallt dont have the money for it since i live in california my whole life

Yeah go to JC. I know alot people did that. Dropped out of a 4yr college and go to JC and transfer to a 4yr College that they wanted to go. It is cheaper too.

if i drop what happen to my loan ans stuff? do i get i back?
and can i go to a JC right away or do i have to wait?

like my college havent even start until september 27 and ill be going in as a freshmen

if i drop out of oregon not even going to freshman year and go to a JC would this affect my future or anything???
