Transfering...Help!

I currently go to University of Houston (1st year) The year is goin' great and i predict my GPA to be a 4.0 or a 3.9 at the least. I'll have around 32-35 hours at the end of my first year. Plently of extra-curricular activities; manager of a store, manager of computer resources, head counselor for a camp in '05 and '06, member of MSA, VP of a youth club, high school basketball, cross country, and track. Only thing holding me back is my high school record (not good) 1030/1600 SAT (530 in math, 500 in CR) 3.2/4.0 GPA, and top 34%. Haven't taken any subject tests or APs. Although my college record is great, high school record is bad, but having more than 30 hours, will they still focus on my high school record alot? Let me know if it is worth applying and if I have any chance at all to transfer?

i don't know much about admissions process for transfer students. but i know for sure that the pool is a lot more competitive than the regular applicant's. so, if your high school records weren't that good, i don't think you have a good shot at a school like duke. but i may be wrong; your college record also counts, you know.
