Transfering into LSA

Hi guys, I just wanted to ask a few questions. I applied to U Mich College of Literature, Arts and Sciences as a senior in high school last year. In April if found out that I had been waitlisted. I currently go to Penn State University Park but I want to transfer to U Mich for Fall 2007.

Do I have to create a new login name/password for the transfer application? Or should I use the same login/password that i had when i applied as a senior?

Also, is the application same for freshman and transfer applicants? Do I have to write the same essays as they do? Do I have to send in my SAT scores again or should i assume they already have mine (as i sent them when I applied last year).

Do you guys think its too late if I apply by mid January? Or does it make no difference if I apply by March 1st, which is the application deadline?

Thanks!

bump.

Need some help so i can get started ASAP!

this seems really sad but

bump again!!

Okay, I was waiting for one of our resident "experts" to answer, but you seem pretty desperate, so I'll give you the info I know.

I doubt that Jan is too late for a transfer, but obviously the sooner the better. I'm also trying to transfer for Fall 07 and sent my app in October :-p

It seems to me that the apps for Freshmen and transfers are almost identical. As to login, you should be able to log in and use the same password and just create a new app. If you do create a new user name and password though, use your UMID (if you remember it), it'll make things go more quickly.

From what I understand they keep your information such as SAT scores for a certain length of time. I'm guessing they still have it, but a quick call to the admin office (or maybe a check on the site) can tell you for sure.

Thanks zuzu. I dunno if i'll be able to get started on my essays coz finals are coming up and i wont' have time. I'll probably have it done over winter break.
