Anybody know how hard it is to transfer into this school? im in nat sci right now, I know about the math/ eco and foreign language requirements but how hard is it really? info says at least min 3.3 gpa to be considered but its gotta be harder than that

The minimum GPA for admission to McCombs was 3.5 last year, and the average was 3.7.

so is that mostly As and one or two Bs? no idea how letter grade works

Yeah, admission is mostly numbers based from what I understand. At most, you'll only want to get two Bs.

Here is a page with information about the process, as well as some great statistical information about the internal transfer process.

I think that with the plus minus grading, GPA's for the straight A or nearly straight A students will be reduced. Before, all of the A's counted for 4.0. With plus minus grading, the professors need to decide which are A's and which are A-'s, and only the A's will count as 4.0.

We don't have plus minus grading yet. It's still A-4, B-3, C-2, D-1, F-0.

I am a liberal arts major right now, and I plan on transfering to the business school. The admission process is almost entirely GPA based. They choose to admit X number of students with a GPA of 4.0 down. Last year the minimum GPA was 3.5. So, take 24 hours or more AT UT AUSTIN, no ap credits or transfer hours, carry a 3.7 GPA or greater and you most likely will get in.
