Is there a way to transfer all my iPod's music to my CPU? My younger brother has the songs in his iPod and I wish i could use his iPod to transfer the songs to my computer and then upload it to my iPod. He doesn't have the songs in the CPU due to CPU restoration. Is there a method?

Disable automatic update for the ipod in itunes
a.connect YOUR ipod then click on the icon in the bottom right corner that has a picture of an ipod.
b. select "manually manage songs and playlists"

Then connect his ipod to itunes and put all his songs onto your computer.

Import his songs from whereever you uploaded them from if there not imported automatically.

If there from the itunes music store authorize his account for your computer.

I have never tried this, but I think it would work.

For #1, do I need to go to Edit, Preferences and deselect Check for itunes updates automatically?

I don't think so I think that's for itunes software itself. Still it couldn't hurt as long as you remember to turn it back on afterwards.

you cant do it with itunes and your ipod alone

google something like "ipod to cpu transfer" I know there is downloadable software out there that will do this. I found some of these programs before but was too lazy to download them :)

The program PODUTIL allows you to rip songs off your ipod and put onto your computer. search for it in google.
