Transfering sucks BIG TIME.

Right now I am currently At Purdue University Studying the undergraduate General Health Science and I think I am looking in to transfer to another school. I feel like the school is somewhat deserted from the rest of the world, the people aren't as fun they seem slightly nerdy, boring, weird, and some are excessively patriotic. I don't think the school is a good fit for me, but I don't know what other schools to consider. I would like to continue studying health science or even potentially liberal arts because I think I want to be a surgeon in the future but I might change my mind because med schools may not be for me but i want to keep my options open. I was born and brought up in Tokyo so I'm really used to city surrounding but its not really and issue for me. I think in this case it was more the school as a whole rather than the setting. If you have any ideas of schools I could get into and should consider please let me know. Oh yeah and I'm doing decent in university right now I have all Bs at the moment so its not too bad. Thanks so much, greatly appreciated.

I can’t believe you consider the student population at Purdue to be slightly nerdy, boring, weird, and some of them being excessively patriotic. It is an Engineering and Science school first of all so there will be slightly nerdy kids no matter what. I think your just with the wrong batch of people. There are people who have a blast. If you take advantage of whats around you maybe you will have fun and enjoy the people around you. Purdue has the 2nd biggest Greek Life system and it ain’t hard to find a party. There are also massive amounts of off-campus parties. I’m pretty sure your just staying in your room and wondering what everyone else must be doing on a weekend. There is a reason to why a lot of people walk around wasted around campus.

Have you looked at Penn State? My brother is there and loves it, and his choice came down to either PSU or purdue. Also, both my parents are purdue alumni and they like Penn States campus so much better than purdues. It’s got a great social scene (#1 party school), a huge football program, and whenever I walk around campus you can tell that theres such pride and community there.

I don’t think Penn State really deserves the #1 Party School rank by PR. There are more rowdier and big time party schools compared to Penn State like UZona. The rankings are done by surveys to students also so it will obviously be biased.

um im sorry to burst your bubble but no i dont hang out in my room all the time. I do actually have friends and yes i know its an engineering school, im pretty sure I was aware of that when I applied. um thanks for trying?

oh and why isnt purdue even on the party school lists when its the 2nd largest greek life? Doesnt that say something about how great we are with partying?
