There are currently 3 schools I'm really looking at: UcB, Nyu, and Cal tech. Im currently doing all the prerequisite's to try and get into UcB Haas(and i feel like ill probably wind up there), but my Dream School is Cal tech. So i was curious as to how hard its going to be to try and transfer there from a ccc or if that's even possible (i have read there websites info on transfer admissions).I figure a 4.0 is not going to be enough so what should i do to make myself standout.

PS: if anyone here has transferred there successfully please tell me your story. Also if i read it correctly there website says they accept more people form ccc's then they do 4 year schools so im hoping thats a good thing.

I’ve transferred to caltech form a cc. I’ll be happy to answer any question you have.
When applying to caltech or any top school in general as a transfer student, one should make him/her self stand out. There are plenty of smart students, so 4.0 (or close to it is assumed). Hence, the admission committee is looking for someone who’ll bring something new to the table, it could be in various areas-- social, research, and etc… Also,
when applying to caltech (as a transfer student) the results of the transfer exams are very important. (Clarification: the sentences above represent my opinion of the process, not necessarily the actual admission committee).
Hope this helps
