Transfering to Engineering

Hello,

I was admitted into the College of Letters and Science as a Spring Admit for the Class of 2013. Is transferring to the Engineering Department extremely difficult? I know that I will probably need to wait until I am a Sophomore to apply, but assuming I have decent grades will making the switch to Electrical Engineering be very difficult to do?

Please share any experiences or insight because I'll take whatever I can get.

I’m in almost the identical situation and would love if someone could share their experiences.

As for the difficulty, reading the official info makes it seem like it is pretty hard to do, but not impossible if you do well at Cal during your first few semesters. If you haven’t already, I would visit:

Since you’re going into Electrical Engineering, you might have a better chance at transferring since it’s not EECS, BioE, or Engineering Physics.

Electrical Engineering = EECS. Good luck transferring.
