Transfering to NEU

Anyone else transfering/ Know what to expect when transfering?

I have a 3.9 over one semester at St. Johns University and a 3.45 over a year and a semester at SUNY Albany...I'm worried that I wont get in. :-/

I will bump this for you. I am interested in any info concerning transferring to NEU for soph year.

I transferred into Northeastern. What is your major? How are your ECs? A 3.9 and a 3.45 ought to get you in. I had a 3.679 for my first semester and for second semester I had to send in my mid-term grade report.

How about me? I had a 4.0 last semester 3.7 this past semester. Did really badly my first year at a prior comm college. But I'm transferring as a junior at 18. Any idea?

you're 18 years old and transfering as a junior??
same---

Really?? Where do you go to school?

I'm in boston , emerson college you?

Nice. I'm at a CC in New Mexico. :(

I have a couple friends at emerson. They love it there. You are so lucky you're already in Boston!

If you have a 3.7 and a 4.0 you should be good but what is your major (it can actually make a difference)

Psychology. Is that a hard school to get into?

or department rather.

that would be college of arts and sciences. you should be fine. i got into cas without any problems and your numbers are better than mine but who knows, maybe psych is a popular transfer major.

I applied for sociology major, how is that?
my GPA was 3.25
I Love emerson but I'M def. leaving there so...
what else??

I have no idea how reputable sociology is as a major at Northeastern but you are very close to the average GPA.

hmm....still haven't gotten my decision. It's been almost 6 weeks!

Trixee15 if you still have not heard from NEU, call them

Really? Yeah I was thinking I should call. Is this a bad sign that I haven't heard from them?

I'm not sure but I know the admissions office is very helpful. some majors have been known to take a while; on the contrary, others are quite fast.

I called and the guy just said to keep checking and that they aren't allowed to give decisions over the phone.

I guess we're supposed to get e-mails saying our decisions are on the application status page.

sigh....it will be 7 weeks tomorrow. :(

I just got the decision last week, so i guess..keep waiting
I got accepted, but I haven't heard anything about my financial aid!!
