Transfering to SUNY EOP

ok so i am a freshman at monroe college and i want to transfer to SUNY for the next fall 2011 semester
my school has trimesters so idk if im better off just staying and transfering spring 2012
Also as of right now i have one class in the high 70s 2 classes in the 80s and one in the 90s i have one extracurricular activity and one job and 1 volunteer work. I was looking into binghamton albany buffalo oneonta new paltz and geneseo i want to be a veterinarian.

so my main questions are
should i transfer fall 2011 semester but have only 24 credits or tranfer for spring 2012 since i will have my associates?

are my grades good enough? i am applying to EOP so am i in the range cuz i heard you cant have a really high gpa

and which schools is better for veterinarian studies?

Is the Monroe CC? Which SUNY’s do they have direct transfer/articulation agreements with? Are you currently enrolled under EOP? I don’t think you can be accepted as an EOP student otherwise.

As far as transfer choices go, I would say it depends on how many credits you’ll have at the end of the 10/11 academic year and what your gpa is. Binghamton and Geneseo are still going to expect high grades. If you haven’t accumulated at least 30 hours when you apply, your SAT scores will be a factor as well. Get those grades UP…veterinary schools are even tougher to get into than med school!

Btw, if Monroe has trimesters, why would you want to wait until next spring to transfer? Wouldn’t there be a timing issue? Seems like fall would be the logical choice.

monroe is a private college in nyc and i am not under Eop because they dont offer that but my guidance counselor spoke with someone from EOp and they said if my school didnt have it they need to write a letter saying if they did i would qualify therefore i do so i have that handled.

and for spring because since its trimester i will get my associates in fall 2011 so i would be able to transfer in the spring for 2012
