Transfering to Syracuse

Hi, I'm a high school senior who will be attending a university next year with the intention of transferring to Syracuse. (it's my dream school but I was not accepted this year.) Does anyone know at what point in the school year I would apply? I know their deadline is in July but I would want to get my application in much earlier than that. I know that Syracuse needs to see transcripts so would I have to wait until my freshman year is over or would I just send Syracuse my transcripts as they come? Thanks so much!

To apply as a fall transfer you would apply sometime in your spring semester your Freshman year. The deadline is July, but Syracuse has rolling admission for transfers so they accept transfers based on the spaces available. So I would submit a transfer application no later than April 1. If you can, get it in earlier than that, sometime at the beginning of February/end of January. That way you have better chances of being accepted. They would base admission off of your first semester college grades and your high school grades. However, you should definitely give the university you chose a shot. You might not have a very good freshman year if you go there simply with the intention of transferring after a year. Join activities that interest you, go to sporting events, meet lots of new people, explore your chosen program, etc. You may find you love the school you chose.
