Transfering to UCLA

Hi I am currently a junior in HS and I was wondering what are some good CCs in California that have high transfer rates to UCLA and decent science/math departments? I ask because my current plan is to attend a CC then transfer to UCLA as a physiological major (pre med student).

Thanks

… Don’t worry about “transfer rates.” Most community colleges in California are very similar and any differences are generally insignificant.
If you do well at any california CC you go to, you should have no problem getting into UCLA. At my local CC 33 applied to UCLA, about 31 got in (i know because I took summer classes there during high school and a transfer rep/counselor came in and talked to us about it).
Transfer rates don’t really have any bearing on how good or bad a CC is, it’s all about the individual student and how he does where he/she is.
Just get a high GPA, maybe join the honors program if your CC has one, and do some productive extra-curricular stuff and you should be fine at any CC.
But seriously…it’s not that hard to get into UCLA as a transfer… at least much easier than it is straight from high school (I think transfer admit rate is about 40%).

For this year, the transfer admit rate is around 32%.

BLD,

this won’t give you major specific transfer rates from each CCC, but it will show you which CCCs are strongest for feeding into any given UC.

Dang SMC sends more students to UCLA per year than a lot of highschools have in their senior class.
