Transfering to UCLA

I know this is a bit premature since I start of as a Freshman this coming fall and I really like UCR ,but i'm still considering transferring from UCR to UCLA.I noticed a problem though.

For the political science major at UCLA, they do not accept the AP US/Comparative Government test which gets me out of Introduction to American government and politics and also Introduction to Comparative government and politics.

I got a 3 on both and UCR exempted me from taking both of those classes.

So.....what do I do?

I also have other AP exams I passed and got credit for from UCR, and i'm not sure if its the same deal with those exams as is the AP Government tests.

Although, on UCLA's transfer admission page they did say:

"To be considered for admission to UCLA, you must leave/have left your previous UC campus in good academic standing. We also encourage you to complete the General Education (GE) requirement of the UC campus you currently attend before you transfer. If you do this, you will be exempt from UCLA's GE requirement. "

You can try taking the prereqs for you Political Science Major at UCR anyway, by trying to add the class anyway or by taking the class over the summer at a community college.

The GE requirement for UC to UC is called UC Reciprocity. Either look up online for specific courses that fulfill that or ask a counselor to go over this with you. Most of the students here are community college to UC transfer, therefore I and many others do not know the specifics of UC Reciprocity
