Transfering to uni, undecieded and a junior?

Im in my first semester of my sophomore year, and i was planning to apply after my 1st semester of sophomore year. i have a 3.1 GPA, but probably a 3.3 after this semester.

I want to transfer to UIUC as a bio major

But i have not taken any of the prerequisite classes, and was planning to take them next semester. I just called an academic adviser at U of I and she told me not to apply for a the 2012 fall semester if i have not taken them yet, even if i was planning to take them next semester.

My question is, is it foolish to apply as undecided just to get in? I Do not want to attend this community college further until my junior year, because i am very unhappy here. Should i apply anyway? If i get rejected, will that hurt my chances of re-applying?

Since you just spoke with an academic advisor who said not to apply, and since you can easily see from the UIUC website that “As a transfer student, you will apply directly to one particular major” which means you can’t apply as undecided the way you suggested, then yes it does seem like a waste of time & money. Just my opinion, though.

BTW I see this is about the 6th thread you’ve started asking pretty much the same thing. Interesting…

Im sorry… im just in such a dillema right now

Is there anything wrong with choosing to transfer undecided?
