Hi this is my first time doing something like this but im really lost and i’m not sure what else to do. Im currently a freshman at VCU majoring in Information Systems and im applying to transfer to VT next year. VT was my first choice and I was sadly waitlisted when I first applied and was devastated. Im applying for the Business Information Technology program. Im not sure if ill get accepted because of my low gpa (3.3 but im trying to bring it up this semester) and because of the high volume of students that were accepted last year. Im just wondering what my chances are of getting accepted and what I could do to be a stronger applicant at this point?
Hi @colleger2023 - See if you can go visit and speak with an admissions counselor. He/she will give you the best advice. If you can’t visit, call and schedule a short meeting. Years ago, I did this and was told exactly what I needed to do to get in.
